BrightView Holdings Appoints Dale Asplund as New CEO

BrightView Holdings, a leading commercial landscaper, has announced the appointment of Dale Asplund as their new President, Chief Executive, and member of the board. Asplund, a seasoned executive, is currently serving as the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of United Rentals, one of the top equipment rental companies in the industry.

Asplund, 55 years old, will assume his role at BrightView on October 1st, appointing to lead the company with his extensive experience and vast knowledge in the field. Meanwhile, Jim Abrahamson, an independent director, who has been serving as the interim President and CEO since May, will continue to be a member of the board.

United Rentals also announced that Michael Durand will succeed Asplund as the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Durand, who has been with United Rentals since 2002, currently holds the position of Senior Vice President of Sales and Operations.

BrightView Holdings is based in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania, while United Rentals is headquartered in Stamford, Connecticut. The transition is expected to be smooth as both companies have proven track records in their respective industries.
