Smiths News, the U.K wholesaler of newspapers and magazines, has announced that its five-year contract with publisher News UK & Ireland now includes exclusive distribution areas in London. This new agreement means that Smiths News will now be responsible for distributing titles from News UK & Ireland – publisher of popular newspapers such as the Sun, the Times of London, and the Sunday Times – across all of its current distribution territories until 2029.
Excitement Surrounding the New Partnership Chief Executive Jon Bunting expressed his enthusiasm for this new milestone, stating, “It marks a milestone in our relationship to be distributing News UK titles across our whole network.” Previously, News UK & Ireland handled distribution in the London areas themselves through their direct-to-retail operations.
