U.S. Futures

European Markets
In Europe, the Stoxx Europe 600 saw a decline of 0.3% in morning trading. Notable stock performances include Thales rising by 6.7% and Intertek Group adding 4.9%, while Inchcape slipped by 7.6% and Ashtead Group sunk by 6.2%. The FTSE 100 also lost 0.4%. France’s CAC 40 decreased by 0.1% and Germany’s DAX dropped by 0.2%.
Currency and Commodities
The Wall Street Journal Dollar Index increased by 0.1% to reach 98.58. In commodities, Brent crude fell by 0.5% to $82.37 per barrel, while WTI crude dropped by 0.7% to $78.22 per barrel. Additionally, the European benchmark price for natural gas, the Dutch futures contract TTF, rose by 2.3% to EUR27.5 per megawatt hour.
Bond Yields
The German 10-year Bund yield decreased by 4 basis points to 2.359%, whereas the yield on the U.S. 10-year Treasury fell by 2 basis points to 4.194%. It’s essential to remember that bond prices and yields have an inverse relationship.
Asian Stock Market
Asian stock markets experienced mixed results with Japan’s Nikkei 225 index remaining flat, Hong Kong’s Hang Seng falling by 2.6%, and China’s Shanghai Composite gaining 0.3%.
